Life of Barclay

Barclay is the lovable dog, he loves to cuddle, if the humans sit down he is right on top of them, Ok he is 70 pounds, but he thinks he is more like 7 pounds he walks around the edge of the chair and couch like a cat, it don't matter if you are a guest or family he makes himself right at home on your lap.
He still watches Shadow pretty close he likes to go after her sometimes for taking the wrong bone.
Barclay loves to go for walks, the other night when our Human Mom took the dogs for a walk Barclay stuck his nose under a fence and bam a dog pounced him and bit him on the nose, well it was bleeding so we had to get back home for first aid.. He is leary of that fence now when he walks..(they say Dogs don't remember but I think they do)
Barclay loves to eat (I mean anything) he is 70 pounds.. Barclay was a little worried when all the dogs went to the vet for shots he thought he was goiong to get put on a diet, but the weight issue went unnoticed. :)
Barclay loves bananas, hot dogs, cheese, any kind of meat, he will even eat salads..
We are so glad Barclay is part of the pack, he keeps everyone laughing..

Pugsley's gone to Heaven

We are sad to say Pugsley had to be put to sleep he had a stroke and lost the use of his legs, he lived a good life he was 15 years old, his Mom had him for 9 years and we have had him going on 6 years. He had never been around dogs before he came to live with the pack, but he soon learned how to play with all of us, and how to fight back.
He drove the humans crazy sometimes with the loud snoring, but he was a good dog and never caused trouble, other than the times that he passed gas and cleared the room.
Barclay one time shook him like a rag doll because he had a bone he wanted, Pugsley had a hard time getting over that.
Sweet Pea misses him the most he used to be her challenge in the mornings while Mom got ready for work, she would pull him around in his little bed and burrow her nose underneath him to make him tip out of the bed.
Pugsley loved pigs ears they were his favorite treat..
He is now in heaven with his Mom and Grams, and of course Brookie (me)..

HIghlight's of Sweet Pea

Well, it has been a while since we signed in a lot of things have happened in the last month, our human Dad had a heart attack, and was in the hopistal for a few days then two weeks at home on recovery, then our human Grandma was starting to get worse physically, and our human Mom spend a lot of time in Salt Lake helping to care for her, and I am sad to announce the our Human Grandma is now with Brookie in heaven. I know Brookie was glad to see her again.
We the pack have just been trying to be patient because we have not had our nightly walks and play time like we like so hopefully we will get back to our routine.
This week Sweet Pea is going to be the one hightlighted with her cute personality and some pictures.
Sweet Pea is just like her name very gentle and shy, when we do go for walks she runs through the house and hides because she is affraid to get her harness on so we can go for a walk. She is the last to eat Mom has to almost hand feed her at times, but she does like her bones and all of us in the pack knows that if Pea Pea want the bone she is sure going to get it even if she has to stand guard until one of us makes a move then she goes in for the kill and gets the bones away from us. Not ebven Barclay dares to get it back from her. Sweat Pea deffinately is the quenn of the rawhide..
Sweat Pea sleeps at the foot of the bed and don't want any one touching her at night, she loves belly rubs and likes to play toss the rawhide. Sweat Pea howl's at anyone on the street that should not be there, and she constantly bugs Pugsley, if he is laying in a bed she will tip the bed over or howl in his ear until he ca;t take it no more and moves.
Sweat Pea is beatiful and our human Mom and Dad just love her..
